![]() ![]() He just wants to race and is overall quite friendly to most people. Doesn't seem to really care about starting trash talk or trying to outright kill. He's a pretty amiable guy and unlike some of the other racers. Nice Guy: Overall, while looking like your stereotypical punk.JP lost this race, putting them into tremendous debt and forcing them into the race fixing business to survive. My Greatest Failure: When he entered the pro circuit, Frisbee took out a massive loan with the mob to get their car competitive parts.Made of Iron: The guy can survive a whole load of crap that comes his way, from violent crashes to a powerful shockwave caused by a Kill Sat.Determined Defeatist: He goes into both of his races in the film knowing that Frisbee is likely to pull the trigger on his jury-rigged vehicle so that he'll lose at the last minute, but he always plays to win.In fact it's so long that it's able to help him cross the finish line as he runs towards it with Sonoshee. Delinquent Hair: That pompadour sticks out a whole foot in front of his face.Dark Is Not Evil: Despite his intimidatingly decorated black leather jacket with spikes on the shoulders, long rockabilly pompadour and other "road warrior" accessories might make one initially keep their distance, but he's easily one of the most amiable characters in the movie.Except for the Yellowline finisher, he always miraculously survives unharmed (Lampshaded too when he somehow crashes a test car in a desert). Captain Crash: Any car or vehicle he steps in has a habit of violently crashing or exploding (Although usually not intentionally). He makes up for it with Hot Blood and pure driving ability. Badass Pacifist: JP is the only racer who doesn't pack weapons of any kind on the track.JP rides around in the futuristic equivalent of a 60s muscle car equipped with nothing but a good engine and a nitro boost. Badass Normal: All the other racers drive tricked out supercars full of crazy weapons and special features to give themselves any advantage they can get. ![]() He’s just that damn good, and he doesn’t need to be aggressive to win the race. Badass Driver: By default, as a character in this film, but he stands out compared to the others because he relies exclusively on his sheer driving skill, instead of weapons or tricks like the other racers.Even his upgraded Transam is revealed to have a tricycle-like design when Lynchman breaks its outer shell. Badass Biker: He owns a strange hoverbike that looks like a hybrid between a chopper and a Bōsōzoku custom motorcycle.Ambiguously Human: Due to his pointed ears and the fact that he wasn't given the introduction of being from "that blue planet" like Miki and Todoroki, it's unknown if he's human or simply an alien that looks very human.A pompadoured racer with a penchant for speed and crashing. The main protagonist, driver of the Transam 2000. Voiced by: Takuya Kimura (JP), Patrick Seitz (EN) ![]()
